Our story

Sharing is caring.

Sailing Kairos is a family venture born in Le Bouveret, out of a passion for sailing and a demand for well-built boats.

Our mission

The joy of being out on the water

We want to share the simple joy and freedom of getting out on the lake — the feel of the wind filling a sail, or a swim far from the crowds. Whether that means taking you out aboard Kairos or putting you at the helm of your own Northman, sharing that feeling is what Sailing Kairos is all about.

Where it started

Lake Geneva as our classroom

It all starts with Kairos, a Maxus 24 EVO moored in Le Bouveret, at the eastern tip of Lake Geneva — right where the lake narrows between the Valais vineyards and the peaks that already hint at the Alps beyond.

Trip after trip, toward Chillon, Lavaux or Ouchy, one conviction grew stronger: this lake deserves to be shared, and sailed on proper equipment. That's what Sailing Kairos is built on — taking people out on the water aboard Kairos, and helping them find a boat of their own as a Northman Yachts partner in Switzerland.

That conviction held up well enough that, in early 2026, we upgraded Kairos herself: from the Maxus 24 EVO to a Maxus 26. Not because the first boat let us down — quite the opposite. It's simply that nothing else on the market matches Northman's quality for the price, and we wanted more of it. Kairos remains our flagship today — with more boats to come as we grow.

The name Kairos comes from ancient Greek: it means the opportune moment, the instant when conditions align and it's time to act. A name found for a boat, that became the philosophy of an entire company.

Kairos, a Maxus 26

Our own boat, the one that carries every excursion, is a Maxus 26 — our second Northman, upgraded from a Maxus 24 EVO in early 2026. A versatile sailboat, stable, easy to handle, and comfortable for six. It's also our best sales pitch: we sail what we distribute, and we've now done it twice.

Our approach

What stays the same, whatever the project

Safety first

Up-to-date equipment, weather watched continuously, decisions made without compromise on passenger safety.

Small groups

Our outings stay private — we'd rather get the experience right than fill the boat.

An expert's word

Whether it's an excursion or a boat purchase, we speak from experience, never just from a brochure.
